A Truck Crush

I've pretty much decided I am old soul at heart. I love any and all old houses, old furniture, old buildings old decor, and most recently, old trucks.

Maybe it's because of the memories tied into the old stuff that make me a bit nostalgic.

This old guy has been in my neighbor's yard for years. He's old, a bit rusty, and hasn't seen a road or a mechanic in quite some time. But there's just something about him that tugs on my heart strings.

I imagine him to have the old upholstery smell, a dusty dashboard, and a creaky glove compartment filled with old receipts and paperwork. It's questionable that his engine even works but if it did, I can just imagine the masculine rumble he would make. No doubt he was quite the looker back in the day.

I'm not sure how much longer l will have to crush on him as a new home and a new owner is in his future. I just hope his new owner has an old soul as well and sees beyond the rust and the wear and tear of what was - and still is - a looker of a truck.
